“ Pillows Maurits at the Park has the rare quality of being genuinely quiet without feeling remote, sitting alongside the Vondelpark in a 19th-century mansion that has been thoughtfully converted without losing its character. The library lounge, the garden, and the carefully sourced breakfast make it feel more like a private house than a hotel. It is the right fit for guests who want Amsterdam's museum quarter at walking distance and a calmer, more considered pace than the canal centre offers.
Spend our annual girls night out here and it was amazing! First of all the room was gorgeous and clean. We even managed to get two separate 1-person duvets in one go, housekeeping was spot on. Their house scent is delicious (and you can buy it too). Also the cocktail bar Fitz was very good! Cozy, great drinks and good atmosphere. Great art also!
One of the best hotels we have stayed in, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Koen on reception too! We were shown to a gorgeous lounge to check in with a glass of fizz, which was a lovely touch! Breakfast is delicious and we dined at the same restaurant for dinner twice because it was so good.
It is the second year we’ve stayed at Pillows. The first time (Sept 2024) was impressive! As we crossed the street, the gentleman walking on the driveway noticed and asked if we were headed to the hotel. He offered to help me with my luggage. We then found out he was the concierge as we checked in. That attention to detail made us come back this year, the same month.
We stayed here for six nights and it really felt like a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the busy tourist spots. After long days exploring Amsterdam, it was lovely to return somewhere calm and comfortable.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and could not have been happier. The service was TOP NOTCH, from check in to check out, the staff was kind, welcoming, and attentive. Gorgeous room (with Diptyque products!), super comfortable bed. Rooftop bar was lovely and the cocktail bar on the lower level had AMAZING cocktails.
